| Our mission is to assist parents as the primary religious educators of their children. Through group and individual meetings, parents become familiar with the formal instruction being given their children and the religious experiences through the family that give meaning to this instruction. Those who serve the ministry of Religious Education are partners with the parents and guardians who are directly involved in the religious development of their children. Together, we preparethe children of the parish for reception of the sacraments of Reconciliation,Holy Eucharist and Confirmation. The parish Religious Education programalso helps prepare children for the weekly gathering of the parish atMass and teaches them the importance of following the example of Jesusin their daily lives. Students are given instruction in what a Catholic believes and how a Catholic lives in response to that message. Classes are held from September to May. Registration takes place at the end of the program year. All first time registrants must present a baptismalcertificate and a letter of transfer from the previous religious educationprogram if in levels 2 and up. The schedule for classes is as follows:

There can be no relationship without communication, which is always a two way street: talking and listening. Communication is the basis for friendship with other people and with God. In relating to God, most of us are used to doing all the talking. Without ever saying so, we act as if God's only role is to be quiet and to listen. That is, of course, an important part of what prayer is all about. But it's not the whole picture. God also has something to say to us which we can't hear until we get quiet and listen. We salute the amazing group of our youth generously involved in a variety of roles in our Religious Education Program. They are a shining example of the oft quoted words of St. Teresa's Prayer: Your's are the feet with which He walks to do good. Your's are the hands with which He blesses all the world. Numbered among our experienced volunteers: Christina Camacho, Kaitlin Downes, Meaghan Galvin, Katelyn Geyer, Kiera Garvey, Jennifer Gonzolez, TJ Heintz, Donna Lavelle, Nicole Palazzo, Cassandra Palummo, Emily Powers.
